The Heat Treat Technician role is a full-time/freelance on-site position based in Baytown, TX, responsible for operating and monitoring heat treatment equipment to meet job specifications and industry standards.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and monitor heat treatment equipment.
• Read and interpret work orders and technical drawings.
• Install and remove heat treatment equipment.
• Perform temperature checks and document process parameters.
• Complete job reports and collaborate with supervisors and field personnel.
• Adhere to safety protocols and maintain tools and equipment.

Requirements

• Experience with industrial heat treatment processes.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and work orders.
• Strong commitment to safety and knowledge of industrial safety practices.
• Basic mechanical aptitude for installing and maintaining equipment.
• Attention to detail for accurate monitoring and documentation.
• Ability to work in industrial environments and varying weather conditions.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills.
• Willingness to work flexible schedules, including overtime and travel.
• Prior experience in energy, petrochemical, or related sectors is preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent; relevant technical training or certifications are a plus.

Additional Information

• Technicians may work varied shifts, including nights and weekends.
• Position may require support for projects in different industrial facilities.
