Overview

As a Gas Turbine Mechanic at Baker Hughes, you will utilize your technical expertise and hands-on skills to overhaul and repair gas turbine equipment, ensuring safety, quality, and operational excellence. Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate familiarity with hand, pneumatic, and hydraulic tooling.
  • Accurately utilize precision measuring equipment such as ID/OD micrometers, depth gauges, and calipers.
  • Apply strong mechanical aptitude to independently understand and interpret complex machining and assembly drawings.
  • Work as a team member to follow detailed work routers for the inspection and repair of turbine units and rotating equipment under tight timelines.
  • Provide on-site support as needed based on operational requirements.
  • Adhere to safety, quality, and operational standards throughout all maintenance and repair activities.

Requirements

  • Have a High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Have a minimum of 5 years of overhaul and repair experience in at least one of the following platforms: GE10, PGT10/PGT25, Frame 3, or Frame 5.
  • Have flexibility to work both 1st and 2nd shifts.
  • Have strong knowledge of HSE requirements and the ability to follow and update safety policies and procedures.
  • Have experience working in a fast-paced industrial or manufacturing environment.
  • Have strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.

Additional Information

  • This position is full-time on-site at the Houston – Aldine Westfield location.
  • Candidates must be flexible to work either shift: 1st Shift: 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM, 2nd Shift: 2:00 PM – 10:30 PM.
