Overview

Axiom Space is a human space exploration company focused on building space infrastructure and delivering technology-driven solutions. They are seeking a dynamic AI&T Technician responsible for testing and maintenance of space suits and related hardware, contributing to the advancement of commercial human spaceflight services.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in training less experienced technicians in maintenance, assembly, testing, repair, and processing of flight and training hardware.
  • Incorporate engineering changes and perform functional performance testing of space suit components and related hardware.
  • Provide assistance to engineering in locating and diagnosing anomalies and recommend corrective actions.
  • Read engineering drawings, schematics, equipment specifications, and test procedures.
  • Complete specified training online and in classroom to maintain job function certifications.
  • Update various job-related databases daily.
  • Operate a motor vehicle for delivery of hardware to various events.
  • Perform other tasks as assigned.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent GED.
  • 7-9 years of related experience.
  • Experience with Pressure Systems or familiarity with Pressurized Test Equipment.
  • Experience using a wide variety of precision tools and measuring devices.
  • Ability to read mechanical drawings.
  • Track record of delivering outcomes in ambiguous, fast-moving environments.
  • Good judgement to problem-solve proactively.
  • Proven ability to deliver high quality results under tight deadlines.

Additional Information

  • Must be able to complete a U.S. government background investigation.
  • Proof of U.S. Citizenship or US Permanent Residency is required.
  • Must be willing to work evenings and weekends as needed.
