Overview
Axiom Space is a human space exploration company focused on building space infrastructure and delivering technology-driven solutions. They are seeking a dynamic AI&T Technician responsible for testing and maintenance of space suits and related hardware, contributing to the advancement of commercial human spaceflight services.
Responsibilities
- Assist in training less experienced technicians in maintenance, assembly, testing, repair, and processing of flight and training hardware.
- Incorporate engineering changes and perform functional performance testing of space suit components and related hardware.
- Provide assistance to engineering in locating and diagnosing anomalies and recommend corrective actions.
- Read engineering drawings, schematics, equipment specifications, and test procedures.
- Complete specified training online and in classroom to maintain job function certifications.
- Update various job-related databases daily.
- Operate a motor vehicle for delivery of hardware to various events.
- Perform other tasks as assigned.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent GED.
- 7-9 years of related experience.
- Experience with Pressure Systems or familiarity with Pressurized Test Equipment.
- Experience using a wide variety of precision tools and measuring devices.
- Ability to read mechanical drawings.
- Track record of delivering outcomes in ambiguous, fast-moving environments.
- Good judgement to problem-solve proactively.
- Proven ability to deliver high quality results under tight deadlines.
Additional Information
- Must be able to complete a U.S. government background investigation.
- Proof of U.S. Citizenship or US Permanent Residency is required.
- Must be willing to work evenings and weekends as needed.
