Overview

The Clean Line Technician is responsible for cleaning APU parts using various methods and equipment, ensuring compliance with company standards. This full-time position involves operating cleaning machines, performing preventative maintenance, and maintaining safety and documentation protocols.

Responsibilities

• Clean all parts using proper methods and equipment.
• Operate glass bead, aluminum oxide and plastic media machines, steamer, and Oakite tank.
• Chemically treat aluminum and magnesium.
• Operate potassium tank and oil cooler flush system.
• Properly protect all material by masking or other approved methods.
• Perform preventative maintenance on all equipment.
• Re-order supplies as needed.
• Understand and apply all technical data.
• Complete all required paperwork and documentation.
• Follow all company policies including safety requirements and instructions.
• Maintain a neat and orderly workstation and promote overall good housekeeping practices.
• Maintain chemical usage log and waste solvent drum.
• Wear safety gear, including a respirator.
• Provide training and assistance to new associates.
• With general supervision, tear down, inspect and clean APU accessories and other similar equipment.
• Clean parts and assemblies as required.
• Prepare documentation, including findings and test data.
• Perform light painting and touch up of assemblies as required.
• Read, interpret and execute work instructions.
• Maintain FAA required records, manuals and inspection forms.
• Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Manufacturing/aerospace experience is a plus.
