Job Description

Overview

As the Rack Build Technician (Liquid Cooling), you will support the assembly, integration, testing, and deployment preparation of liquid-cooled data center rack solutions designed for AI, HPC, and enterprise environments. This role involves hands-on rack builds and hardware installation while adhering to operational, quality, and safety procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble data center racks according to engineering drawings and customer requirements.
  • Install servers, storage systems, network equipment, and related rack infrastructure.
  • Mount and secure equipment while adhering to quality standards.
  • Install and connect liquid-cooling components including CDUs and manifolds.
  • Support coolant filling, flushing, air removal, leak testing, and flow verification.
  • Perform rack-level testing and validation activities.
  • Support rack startup, Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT), and deployment readiness.
  • Perform quality inspections and document findings and test results.
  • Troubleshoot assembly, cooling, cabling, and hardware installation issues.
  • Verify proper routing, labeling, and installation of cabling and components.
  • Apply asset tags and configuration documentation to completed assemblies.
  • Receive, inspect, stage, and organize incoming materials and equipment.
  • Maintain inventory accuracy and material traceability.
  • Assist with packaging and shipment preparation of completed rack solutions.
  • Conduct regular inspections of equipment and data center facilities.
  • Follow all safety procedures including PPE and environmental requirements.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High School Degree or Equivalent required; Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in a technical discipline preferred.
  • OSHA-10, ESD Certification, or liquid-cooling OEM certifications preferred.
  • 2+ years of experience in data center operations or related technical environment.
  • Experience installing servers, storage systems, and networking equipment.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and work instructions.
  • Experience using hand tools, power tools, and testing equipment.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
  • Experience with structured cabling and documentation practices.
  • Familiarity with liquid-cooling technologies preferred.
  • Experience supporting AI, HPC, GPU, or high-density computing infrastructure preferred.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Fluent in English.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Basic computer skills preferred.
  • Field Service or Data Center Technician experience preferred.
