Overview

Kokosing is one of America's 50 largest General Contractors, providing services in heavy civil and industrial construction. They are seeking a skilled Shop Welder to join their team, responsible for welding, fabrication, and assembly of components in a shop environment, emphasizing safety and quality workmanship.

Responsibilities

  • Weld, fabricate, and assemble parts, frames, brackets, and components according to drawings and specifications.
  • Ensure all work meets quality standards and project requirements.
  • Cut, grind, fit, and prepare materials for welding and fabrication.
  • Verify material dimensions and readiness before fabrication begins.
  • Measure, layout, mark, and fit components accurately.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and weld symbols.
  • Inspect completed welds and fabricated components for accuracy and quality.
  • Identify and correct defects when necessary.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
  • Assist with inventory organization and restocking of shop materials.
  • Follow all safety procedures and maintain awareness of workplace hazards.
