Overview

Ground Force/Mega of Albuquerque is seeking a skilled fabricator/welder for challenging heavy fabrication metal work, offering a starting wage of $23-$28/hour based on experience. The company values craftsmanship and provides opportunities for growth in a supportive environment.

Responsibilities

  • Weld-wire feed in multiple positions.
  • Use a handheld plasma cutter, handheld grinder, and manual flame cutting torch.
  • Fit up and assemble products.
  • Utilize bridge cranes to position parts and assemblies during production.
  • Exchange empty cylinders of oxygen, shielding gas, and fuel gas for full cylinders using a hand truck/dolly.
  • Utilize Gas Metal Arc Welding (GMAW) and Flux Core Arc Welding (FCAW) processes.
  • Perform craftsman welds in confined spaces reliably.
  • Assist other production employees as deemed necessary by management.
  • Read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Read and understand engineering drawings.
  • Perform work to required tolerances.
  • Pass a welding test.
  • Stand, bend, and climb for long periods.
  • Lift up to forty pounds and push/pull suction hose on tanks weighing from ten to one hundred pounds.
  • Work in various weather conditions.
  • Work around high noise levels.
  • Work in high places and confined spaces.

What you'll be running
