Overview

Environmental Air Systems, a full-service mechanical contractor, is seeking experienced MIG Welders to join their fabrication shop. The role involves working independently and as part of a team with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

  • Weld structural steel members using MIG (gmaw) wirefeed processes.
  • Weld in 3G and 4G positions according to safety-oriented procedures.
  • Read welding symbols and understand testing requirements.
  • Follow proper safety instructions.
  • Work in a team environment.
  • Perform other duties as needed by supervision.

Requirements

  • Reading and speaking proficiency in either English or Spanish required.
  • Minimum of a High School Diploma/GED or related experience as a certified structural steel welder.
  • Ability to pass a 3G and 4G weld test using GMAW process on 3/8" material.
  • Good verbal communication skills with other employees.
  • Positive attitude.
  • Open minded with a vision for continuous improvement.
  • Ability to understand weld symbols and testing requirements.
  • Ability to read blueprints.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to step over and work on top of fixtures that are 28 inches off the floor when necessary.
  • Ability to stoop, bend, crawl, and climb ladders throughout the shift.
  • Ability to work in conditions of varying heat and cold and where noise levels are at or above 90 decibels.
  • Ability to work from heights utilizing ladders and lifts.

  • Schedule: 1st Shift, 6:00am-4:30pm with OT as necessary.
