Overview

Howmet Fastening Systems (HFS) is seeking a Machining Tech III- 1st Shift for the Fullerton, CA site. HFS is a business unit of Howmet Aerospace, a leader in aerospace fastening systems and commercial transportation fasteners.

Responsibilities

  • Perform all standard set up within standard time on router with minimum assistance from Lead.
  • Operate, troubleshoot, and service machines as required.
  • Adjust machining parts and tooling, including sharpening tools on surface grinders or pedestal grinders.
  • Set up and operate Multiple Spindle (Davenport/Chucker) equipment.
  • Produce and maintain high quality parts per print specifications.
  • Work with various materials such as Titanium, Aluminum, and stainless steel.
  • Perform first piece verification process per part print as required.
  • Run multiple machines while maintaining high quality parts, efficiency, and productivity.
  • Perform Preventative Maintenance per daily schedule.
  • Take initiative to perform daily 5S in assigned area and machinery.
  • Participate in autonomous maintenance and process improvement initiatives.
  • Understand and perform statistical process control.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to meet facility goals.
  • Follow EHS Policies, Procedures, and report all incidents/injuries immediately.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • 2 years' experience operating machinery.
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States.
