Overview

At Relativity Space, we’re building rockets to serve today’s needs and tomorrow’s breakthroughs. The Supervisor, Structures Technician will lead a team in mechanical assembly processes for the Terran R rocket, ensuring high quality standards and efficient production schedules.

Responsibilities

  • Execute production schedules across all structural assemblies.
  • Help establish process standards and hold technician team accountable to these processes.
  • Mentor technician team by providing timely feedback and conducting performance reviews.
  • Communicate daily/weekly progress to upper management including any blockers with proposed solutions.
  • Lead hiring initiatives to grow the team to meet production rates.
  • Foster a team culture that supports honesty, transparency, and accountability.

Requirements

  • 3+ years experience in aerospace manufacturing leadership at or above the supervisor level.
  • 3+ years experience in structural assembly including precision drilling, hilok installation, and structural bonding.
  • 3+ years experience with rigging and crane operations with the ability to act as a lift director.
  • Experience partnering with cross functional teams such as manufacturing engineering, quality, and production control.
  • Self-starter with a demonstrated ability to take full ownership of production areas.
  • Previous track record of helping scale work centers and production processes.

  • This is a second-shift position with a standard schedule of Monday through Friday, 3:00 p.m. to 1:30 a.m. PT.
  • The role is structured around a 50-hour workweek, including 10 guaranteed overtime hours each week.
  • Employees receive a 10% shift differential.
