Job Description

Overview

At Relativity Space, we’re building rockets to meet current and future demands for launch capacity. The Senior Mechanisms Technician will play a crucial role in assembling and testing complex electro-mechanical assemblies for the Terran R vehicle, contributing to innovative advancements in aerospace.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with engineering teams on building the 1st Terran R mechanism assemblies
  • Follow precise work instructions to successfully complete build operations
  • Assemble and test complex electro-mechanical assemblies using a variety of hand tools and test equipment
  • Work closely with a team of technicians to successfully execute daily operations

Requirements

  • 5+ years of aerospace mechanical experience or related field
  • Demonstrated ability to work in fast paced environments with flight hardware
  • Proficient in using calibrated tools such as torque wrenches and precision inspection equipment
  • Experience in wiring, harnessing, avionic, and building and testing of electro-mechanical systems
  • Proficiency of relevant aerospace industry standards and specifications, showcasing strong attention to detail and concern for product quality
  • Experience troubleshooting electrical mechanical assemblies

  • This is a first-shift position with a standard schedule of Monday through Friday, 5:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. PT
  • The role is structured around a 50-hour workweek, including 10 guaranteed overtime hours each week
