Overview

Millennium Space Systems, a part of Boeing Defense, Space and Security, is seeking a Senior Electro-Mechanical Technician for their El Segundo, California location. This role involves supporting the manufacturing of space flight sub-systems and support equipment, contributing to national security space missions.

Responsibilities

  • Perform Electro-Mechanical assembly of PCB assemblies into product chassis.
  • Assemble Electro-Mechanical assemblies by interpreting blueprints, engineering drawings, and specifications.
  • Use precision calibrated tools such as torque wrenches, micrometers, and calipers.
  • Perform visual inspections of Electro-Mechanical assemblies to ensure product quality.
  • Document non-conformances and associated rework/repair.
  • Solder and rework through-hole and SMT components.
  • Support conformal coat, masking, epoxy application, and coating.

Requirements

  • Minimum of High School Diploma or GED.
  • More than 3 years of experience in electronics, electro-mechanical, and PCB assemblies.
  • More than 3 years of experience in Electro-Mechanical assembly on high reliability products.
  • More than 3 years of experience working with ESD, IPC J-STD-001, and IPC-A-610 standards.
  • More than 3 years of experience with soldering.
  • More than 3 years of experience reading blueprints and working with manufacturing plans.
  • Capable of lifting 20lbs or more on a frequent basis.
  • Ability to stand and move to handle products for extended periods.
