Overview

The Sr. Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing a variety of maintenance tasks to ensure the functionality of production machines and plant facilities. The role requires mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills, as well as the ability to perform emergency repairs and preventive maintenance.

Responsibilities

  • Install and maintain production machines and plant facility equipment.
  • Perform regular preventive maintenance and visually inspect machines and equipment.
  • Provide emergency repairs of production equipment during production.
  • Perform mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic troubleshooting and repairs.
  • Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders.
  • Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, and test and adjust equipment.
  • Perform routine plumbing maintenance and carpentry functions.
  • Use hand and power tools, electric meters, and material handling equipment.
  • Detect faulty operations and report unusual situations to supervision.
  • Track and maintain electronic records of maintenance and repairs.
  • Order and requisition parts as needed.
  • Follow health and safety guidelines and Lean manufacturing principles.
  • Assist team members with technical issues.
  • Assess building systems to plan work assignments.
  • Work with maintenance lead to plan work priorities and obtain supplies.
  • Evaluate systems to determine necessary maintenance or repairs.
  • Help with inventory, parts, and contractors.
  • Support audits.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • At least five years of maintenance experience required.
  • Associate degree and experience with training and leading others preferred.
  • Mechanical knowledge and electrical troubleshooting skills.
  • General mechanical aptitude with knowledge of building and utility systems.
  • Ability to read mechanical blueprints and electrical schematic diagrams.
  • Computer literacy for maintenance management systems.
  • Prior experience in locksmith, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, or painting preferred.
  • Ability to identify issues and determine necessary repairs.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

  • Shift: 4x10 hours or 5 days a week.
