Overview

ZEISS is a pioneering company with over 180 years in business, focusing on innovation and technology across various sectors. They are seeking a Field Service Technician to provide installation, repair, and calibration services for advanced measuring instruments in the Phoenix, AZ area.

Responsibilities

  • Engage in a comprehensive ~3 month in field and classroom training program.
  • Travel to customer sites to install, repair, troubleshoot, service, and calibrate measuring instruments.
  • Work hands-on with high tech CMMs utilizing mechanical and electronic aptitude.
  • Document service work and maintain accurate service records.
  • Work independently while representing the company in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

  • Minimum high school graduate, GED, or equivalent.
  • Tech school, associate, or bachelor's degree in a technical discipline preferred.
  • Training and experience from a Military Technical School accepted.
  • Prior experience working with hand tools and basic electrical test equipment.
  • Microsoft operating system knowledge is required.
  • Capable of unassisted physical lift of one article weighing up to 75 pounds.
  • Able and willing to work a minimum of 50 hours per work week.
  • Ability to work in an industrial production shop floor environment.
  • Valid Driver License required.
