Overview

As a Test Technician IV at Collins Aerospace, you will be responsible for a variety of tasks including ATP/ESS testing, troubleshooting to the component level, and creating quality notifications. This role is crucial in maintaining the flow of work and ensuring high-quality output within the aerospace industry.

Responsibilities

• Follow and offer suggestions for improvement to Health and Safety guidelines ensuring a safe work environment.
• Test a variety of electronic units using prescribed test procedures.
• Set up and operate various test stands.
• Configure, calibrate, and maintain test equipment.
• Interpret and record test results.
• Recognize and isolate test equipment failures.
• Use diagnostic tools to troubleshoot electronic units to the sub-assembly and component level.
• Read and interpret technical data such as component maintenance manuals, engineering prints, and schematics.
• Effectively communicate work status to team members and support staff.
• Work alone and as a member of a team to ensure production and quality goals are met.
• Participate in formal and informal continuous improvement efforts and projects.

Requirements

• Typically requires HS diploma or equivalent, or vocational/technical education in related discipline with a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience.
• Ability to read and interpret technical data.
• Prior experience with component level troubleshooting.
• Working computer skills and knowledge of office software applications.
• Electrical Technician Certification.
• Certification in Electronics.

Additional Information

• 1st Shift: Monday through Friday from 6:00am to 2:30pm.
• You may occasionally need to provide weekend and holiday support to meet customer needs.
• You will be exposed to products of various weights and sizes, equipment with moving parts, high potential voltage/current, and chemicals that may emit fumes.
