Overview

The Judge Group is seeking a Senior Facility Mechanical Estimator with over 5 years of experience in estimating pipeline construction or facility projects within the oil and gas industry, focusing on projects ranging from 2 million to 35 million dollars.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare detailed cost estimates for pipeline, facility, and integrity projects.
  • Ensure bids reflect field expertise and are competitive and profitable.
  • Work with project management, engineering, procurement, and field operations teams to develop cost models.
  • Prepare pipeline estimates.
  • Prepare cost estimates for various projects including Oil and Gas Pipeline Construction, Gathering Systems, Tie-ins, Compressor Stations, and Pipeline Integrity Projects.
  • Attend pre-bid meetings.
  • Review RFQs, technical drawings, and project scopes.
  • Evaluate field conditions.
  • Utilize estimating tools and databases to build all-inclusive competitive bids.
  • Collaborate with operations.
  • Develop bid strategies.
  • Participate in estimate reviews.
  • Update cost history database for accuracy.
  • Support project handover.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience estimating pipeline construction or facility projects within the oil and gas industry.
  • Strong knowledge of pipeline construction methods, welding and manufacturing, compressor/pump stations, and facility tie-ins.
  • Experience with Hard Dollar, Microsoft Project, Primavera P6, OnScreen Takeoff, and Excel.
  • Track record preparing estimates from RFQs, P&IDs, isometrics, and client specifications.
  • Experience with unit rate and lump-sum estimating.
  • Prior field experience in pipeline or facility construction is highly desirable.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related technical field preferred.
