Responsibilities

  • Perform a variety of tasks involving strenuous manual labor in heavy construction projects.
  • Unload, carry, place, and secure concrete reinforcing steel and accessories.
  • Manually excavate and fill trenches and ditches.
  • Handle and store materials.
  • Place and finish concrete utilizing hand and power tools.
  • Prepare for concrete pour including installing embedded items and cleaning.
  • Perform concrete patching, repairing, and rubbing.
  • Construct wooden forms for molding concrete structures according to specifications.
  • Mans entry and egress gates to control the jobsite.
  • Assist in demolishing activities.
  • Operate pneumatic hammers, vibrators, and tampers.
  • Operate electric powered tools.
  • Signal operators to guide them in moving equipment.
  • Operate large powered machinery and equipment.
  • Follow safety rules.
