Overview

Join Sundt, one of Arizona's leading builders, as a Pipelayer for a high-profile industrial project offering long-term opportunities. The position requires experienced craftsmen in heavy commercial/industrial construction with a competitive pay rate of $31 per hour plus additional cash fringe.

Responsibilities

  • Assist skilled craft workers in performing their assigned duties.
  • Work in other crafts at levels appropriate to training and skills as requested by project supervision.
  • Take direction from a higher skilled worker or foreman.
  • Utilize effective math skills for calculations.
  • Eliminate waste such as waiting, rework, and unnecessary transportation.
  • Ask a supervisor about any work-related uncertainties or safety practices.
  • Learn and understand all safety hazards related to the work.
  • Safely and effectively use or operate work-related tools and equipment.
  • Look for opportunities for improvement in tasks and methods.
  • Maintain positive working relationships with all crew members.
  • Produce high-quality work safely and productively.
  • Provide feedback to ensure all materials and tools are available for the work.

Requirements

  • NCCER Core Curriculum and/or a High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • One year experience (level I), two years' experience (level II), and three plus years' experience in the industrial/commercial construction industry preferred.
  • Possess effective verbal and written communication skills.
