Overview

Tindall Corporation is a leading Precast Concrete Manufacturer with locations throughout the Southeastern U.S., dedicated to supporting customers and delivering innovative solutions. The Bar Bender / Shearer Operator I is responsible for handling various types of steel materials and ensuring they are processed according to specifications.

Responsibilities

  • Move material from storage racks to rollers or shake-out table with overhead crane.
  • Set jig to required length.
  • Hand feed material into iron worker.
  • Shear and/or punch holes in flat stock, angle, wire mesh, coil rod, and rebar.
  • Stack material on pallets or material buggy for different jobs or pours and mark accordingly.
  • Assist in unloading incoming trucks of material for steel shop.
  • Clean and keep safe work area including sweeping floor and disposing of scrap metal.
  • Perform miscellaneous duties as directed by Supervisor.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or general education degree (GED).
  • One to three months related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
