Overview

The Design Engineer for INTEGRA’s Engineered Products division will serve as a technical leader responsible for advanced engineering design, development of innovative mechanical solutions, and technical oversight across a broad portfolio of engineered products. This role involves collaboration with customer engineering teams and provides technical leadership and mentoring to junior engineers.

Responsibilities

  • Owns major mechanical designs from concept through production.
  • Applies strong first‐principles engineering to derive solutions.
  • Performs stress and fatigue analysis, tolerance analysis, and material selection.
  • Provides technical oversight to ensure engineering accuracy and compliance.
  • Maintains knowledge of emerging engineering technologies and best practices.
  • Creates efficient and detailed CAD models and drawings.
  • Conducts finite element analysis (FEA) to validate structural performance.
  • Generates clear, accurate engineering documentation.
  • Designs components and assemblies optimized for manufacturability and cost efficiency.
  • Collaborates with internal teams and suppliers on manufacturing methods.
  • Evaluates load paths, interfaces, and interdependencies across assemblies.
  • Mentors junior engineers in design methodology and best practices.
  • Leads design reviews and communicates technical rationale effectively.
  • Facilitates cross-functional collaboration for project execution.
  • Applies sound engineering judgment to balance competing factors.

Requirements

  • 5-10+ years of design experience.
  • Multiple products released to production.
  • Strong CAD mastery.
  • GD&T proficiency.
  • Manufacturing knowledge.
  • FEA familiarity with Ansys software.
  • Root cause analysis experience.
  • Ability to mentor others.
  • Mechanical aptitude.
