Overview

NOW HIRING an experienced Welder for an immediate opening in Tallapoosa, GA. The role involves welding and fabricating structural steel components using MIG and/or stick welding while following blueprints and work instructions.

Responsibilities

  • Set up welding tools and equipment
  • Measure, cut, tack, weld, grind, and clean materials
  • Read blueprints and weld symbols
  • Operate welders, torches, drills, saws and other shop equipment
  • Inspect finished welds for quality and accuracy
  • Maintain equipment and keep work area clean
  • Report equipment or quality issues to supervisor

Requirements

  • Minimum of 6 months welding experience preferred
  • Production welding experience is a plus
  • AWS certification helpful but not required
  • Ability to pass welding test/certification
  • Basic math and measuring skills required
  • Able to work overtime/weekends when needed
  • Knowledge of steel alloys, welding material, and fabrication tools preferred
  • MUST be able to pass a Drug Screening

Additional Information

  • Job Shift: Day (6am-6:30pm)/ Night (6pm-6:30am)
  • Pay Rate: $18-20+/hr.-based on experience
  • MUST BE ABLE TO START IMMEDIATELY
