Overview

Manpower is seeking experienced Resistance/Spot Welders for an automotive manufacturer in Sterling Heights, MI. This role is suited for candidates with manufacturing experience who enjoy hands-on work and mechanical assembly.

Responsibilities

  • Operate resistance welding and spot welding equipment to join metal components.
  • Assemble automotive components and subassemblies according to specifications and work instructions.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and production documents.
  • Position, align, and secure parts in fixtures, jigs, and clamps.
  • Set machine controls, including air pressure, hydraulic pressure, and weld timing.

Requirements

  • Previous resistance welding or spot welding experience preferred.
  • Manufacturing, automotive, or assembly experience required.
  • Ability to read and follow work instructions and blueprints.
  • Experience using hand tools, measuring instruments, and production equipment.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Basic computer and math skills.
