Overview

RTX, the world's largest aerospace and defense company, is seeking a Welder II for its Collins Aerospace division in Wilson, NC. This role involves setting up and operating welding equipment, performing various welding operations, and ensuring compliance with safety standards.

Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate welding equipment according to technical drawings and WPS parameter ranges.
  • Execute manual, semiautomatic, mechanized, and automatic GTAW welding operations on various thin-gauge materials.
  • Examine welds according to visual inspection and commercial quality criteria.
  • Adhere to company rules and regulations, including Environmental Health and Safety.
  • Assist in training other welders and interpret technical documents.

Requirements

  • Typically requires HS diploma or vocational/technical education in related discipline with a minimum of 1 year of relevant experience.
  • 1+ years GTAW welding experience and 1+ years welding fabrication experience.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality work.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and work instructions.
