Overview

Automatic Vehicle Wash Equipment Co., Inc. (AVW) is a family-owned company with over 50 years of experience in car washing equipment manufacturing. The welder will work with various materials to fabricate parts and equipment, utilizing skillful handling of metals and fabrication tools.

Responsibilities

  • Weld stainless steel car wash components using appropriate welding processes and techniques.
  • Measure, align, fit, and position components prior to and during welding to ensure proper dimensions and specifications.
  • Inspect completed welds for quality, appearance, strength, dimensions, and compliance with specifications.
  • Identify and correct welding defects, including porosity, cracks, incomplete fusion, undercut, or other quality issues.
  • Perform grinding, cutting, drilling, deburring, and other fabrication activities as required to prepare and finish components.
  • Use hand tools, power tools, measuring instruments, and welding-related equipment safely.

Requirements

  • Experience in welding.
  • Knowledge of Mig and Tig Welding.
  • Must pass a weld test.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to execute basic welding techniques.
  • Ability to read and follow a product data sheet, specs sheet, and other product informational material.
  • Familiarity with welding equipment and workshop safety protocols.
