As an S&C Electric team member, you’ll work on projects that have real-world impact, helping to transform the grid for resilient and reliable power worldwide. Responsibilities

  • Assemble VISTA Switch on the assembly line and shop floor.
  • Identify, transport, install, mount, and bolt various components.
  • Perform mechanical inspections using torque wrenches, screwdrivers, and tape measures.
  • Use simple material handling equipment, hand tools, power tools, and gauges.
  • Operate simple machinery such as automatic press machines.
  • Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, blueprints, and manufacturing drawings.
  • Measure, cut, route, bundle, and label wires according to engineering specifications.
  • Use hand tools and specialized equipment for crimping and electrical components.
  • Verify wire sizes, colors, routing, and terminations against drawings.
  • Conduct continuity checks and basic electrical inspections.
  • Identify and report material shortages, drawing discrepancies, and quality concerns.
  • Work closely with Engineering, Quality, and Production teams.

Requirements

  • High School/GED diploma required.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of mechanical operations.
  • Ability to use basic shop math and measurement tools.
  • Ability to follow standard work instructions and assembly drawings.
  • Knowledge and ability to use air impact tools and hand-held tools.
  • 2 years of mechanical assembly and/or electrical wiring experience.

Additional Information

  • Hours are 6:00 am- 2:30 pm (Monday- Friday) with possible overtime.
