Overview

The DeWalt Service Technician position is an onsite role based in Addison, IL, where the technician will be part of the Product Services team, handling repairs and maintenance of various tools and equipment. Responsibilities

  • Handle repairs to all portable electric, pneumatic tools, construction equipment, and outdoor products.
  • Troubleshoot tool failure by disassembling units to examine components for wear and defects.
  • Assist with maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
  • Inspect, analyze, and repair tools and equipment for safe operation.
  • Perform performance and safety testing on equipment after repair.
  • Complete work orders using repair parts and labor, including pricing and customer information.
  • Manage inventory by ensuring accuracy with parts and accessories.
  • Achieve daily productivity goals on the number of tools repaired.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Ability to interpret mechanical diagrams, wiring schematics, and printed servicing data.
  • Knowledge of electricity principles and airflow as it applies to power tools.
  • Ability to diagnose mechanical and electrical faults in power tools and equipment.
  • Ability to perform simple mathematical calculations.
  • Goal-driven mentality to meet daily, weekly, and quarterly productivity goals.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Adaptability in using various technological systems and familiarity with data entry and record-keeping systems.
