Overview

Okland is a commercial general contractor and construction management company with over 1,200 team members, focused on delivering complex projects across various sectors. The Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) will lead welding and fabrication quality control programs to ensure compliance with specifications and standards, while mentoring quality personnel and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and maintain project-specific Quality Control (QC) and Quality Assurance (QA) programs for semiconductor manufacturing facilities.
  • Ensure compliance with industry codes, standards, and client requirements.
  • Lead quality initiatives promoting accountability and continuous improvement.
  • Oversee inspection and verification activities for high-purity process systems.
  • Conduct inspections of welding, fusion, fabrication, and installation activities.
  • Review and approve Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS) and associated quality documentation.
  • Maintain complete and accurate quality records and documentation.
  • Coordinate and oversee Non-Destructive Examination (NDE) and system turnover inspections.
  • Lead the identification and resolution of non-conformances and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Collaborate with project teams to resolve quality issues and maintain project schedules.

Requirements

  • Current AWS Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) certification required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field preferred.
  • 7–10 years of quality control, quality assurance, or welding inspection experience.
  • Strong knowledge of ASME B31.3, ASME Section IX, AWS D1.1, and SEMI standards.
  • Experience inspecting stainless steel and thermoplastic piping systems.
  • Knowledge of thermoplastic fusion processes and quality control requirements.
  • Experience managing WPS, PQRs, and material traceability documentation.
  • Familiarity with NDE methods and testing requirements.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Proven leadership experience in mentoring quality personnel.
