Overview

The ASRS Maintenance Mechanic II position at Shamrock Foods Company involves performing inspection, preventative, and corrective maintenance on material handling equipment in an automated warehouse setting. This full-time role requires both independent and team collaboration to ensure equipment functionality and safety.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose machine malfunctions and determine need for adjustment or repair.
  • Disassemble, inspect, and perform routine repairs and rebuild defective parts on all equipment.
  • Assemble and test operate machines to verify correction of malfunctions.
  • Maintain and lubricate machine tools and equipment.
  • Clean machines and may paint machines or equipment to prevent corrosion.
  • Install or recharge batteries for any battery-powered equipment.
  • Perform basic electrical tasks such as replacing motors, fuses, and switches.
  • Troubleshoot and repair material handling equipment including sorters, conveyors, and cranes.
  • Perform evaluations of system critical devices such as high-speed sorter diverts and scanners.
  • Utilize the Maximo computerized maintenance management system.
  • Replace defective parts with new parts or repair/reproduce parts.
  • Troubleshoot, repair, and perform preventive maintenance on power lift equipment.
  • Perform preventative maintenance on facility including carpentry, plumbing, and electrical duties.
  • Ensure regular and reliable attendance.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • Level II requires two years of commercial or industrial maintenance related experience.
  • Level II requires five years related experience or equivalent combination in mechanical, electrical, and general maintenance.
  • Operates shop tools such as a grinder, drill press, cutting torch, and welding machine.
  • Must be able to frequently reach up to 31-77 inches.
