Overview

Aramark Facilities Management is hiring a Maintenance Worker / Building Maintenance Technician in Taylor, TX to support daily facility operations and maintenance. This hands-on role involves performing general building maintenance, coordinating contractors, and assisting with small facility improvement projects.

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine building maintenance and repairs across facility systems
  • Troubleshoot and repair lighting, electrical components, plumbing fixtures, walls, doors, flooring, and other building infrastructure
  • Conduct basic HVAC maintenance, inspections, and troubleshooting
  • Complete preventive maintenance activities and scheduled facility inspections
  • Respond to maintenance work orders and prioritize repairs to reduce downtime
  • Coordinate and oversee contractors performing maintenance, repair, or construction work
  • Assist with small facility improvement and capital projects
  • Use hand tools, power tools, ladders, and maintenance equipment safely and effectively
  • Document completed work, inspection findings, and maintenance activities
  • Identify potential equipment or building issues and recommend corrective actions
  • Maintain safe, clean, and organized work areas
  • Follow all Aramark and client safety policies, procedures, and PPE requirements
  • Support facility operations during on-call rotations, overtime assignments, and occasional weekend coverage as needed

Requirements

  • 3+ years of hands-on building maintenance, facilities maintenance, industrial maintenance, or related experience
  • Working knowledge of lighting, plumbing, electrical, wall, and flooring repairs
  • Experience performing basic HVAC maintenance and troubleshooting
  • Ability to diagnose and resolve common building and equipment issues independently
  • Experience working with contractors, vendors, or service providers
  • Ability to read, understand, and follow safety procedures
  • Strong reliability, attendance, and time-management skills
  • Ability to work Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM, participate in an on-call rotation, work overtime, and occasionally work weekends
  • Ability to lift, carry, push, pull, bend, climb ladders, and stand or walk for extended periods
  • Must successfully pass a background check, including Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) review

  • Schedule is Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
  • Participation in an on-call rotation, overtime opportunities, and occasional weekend work
