Overview

Vulcan Materials Company is the nation’s largest producer of construction aggregates and a major producer of aggregates-based construction materials. The Fixed Maintenance role involves promoting safety, repairing and maintaining plant equipment, and ensuring compliance in operations.

Responsibilities

  • Promote safety in accordance with MSHA and Vulcan standards.
  • Repair and maintain plant equipment including screen changes and conveyor belt repairs.
  • Perform cutting, grinding, and welding as needed.
  • Inspect equipment and structures to ensure safe and reliable operations.
  • Monitor processes and materials in various aggregate areas.
  • Document and maintain service and lubrication reports.
  • Perform general physical activities to assist with plant operations.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in the aggregate or construction industry is preferred.
  • Knowledge of general principles and practices of industrial maintenance is preferred.
  • Must be able to work overtime and extended hours.
  • Must be able to work outside in all types of weather conditions.
  • Must have some knowledge of industrial tools and their maintenance.
