Overview

At StandardAero, we use our ingenuity and know-how to find solutions for the simple to the most complex challenges in aviation. As a Welder, you’ll work with metal fabrication equipment such as Gas Tungsten Arc (GTAW) and resistance welding to repair a variety of parts.

Responsibilities

  • Produce a variety of parts from shop drawings to conform to specifications
  • Read and interpret blueprints or welding process specifications
  • Operate metal shaping machines such as brakes, shears, and other metal straightening and bending machines
  • Participate in continuous improvement of processes
  • Cross train in other complementary skills to support production requirements
  • Observe all applicable safety requirements

Requirements

  • 2+ years TIG welding experience
  • 2+ years experience reading and interpreting blueprints and welding process specifications
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds (unassisted) for approximately 25% of the average work day
  • Previous welding experience in aerospace or aviation environment is desired
  • Experience with welding thin gauge material and exotic metals (Inconel and Hastelloy) is desired
  • Thorough understanding of tool design and fabrication methods and processes is desired
  • Trade certification preferred
