The Permanent Unit Technician is responsible for monitoring, maintenance, and troubleshooting of Permanent Units in a remote setting, ensuring equipment operates safely and efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor Permanent Unit equipment in accordance with established operating procedures.
• Perform routine equipment inspections to verify safe and efficient operation.
• Start up, shut down, and adjust equipment as required to meet operational and client requirements.
• Generate daily, weekly, and monthly operational reports for internal and client distribution.
• Promote a culture of safety, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
• Collect and monitor real-time process data from field instrumentation and control systems.
• Observe and record key operating parameters, including temperature, pressure, flow rates, and levels.
• Identify abnormal operating conditions and take appropriate corrective actions within established procedures.
• Utilize Distributed Control Systems (DCS), Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC), Human Machine Interfaces (HMI), or other process control systems to monitor and operate equipment.
• Assist with preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance activities on Permanent Unit equipment.
• Monitor system alarms and respond promptly to abnormal operating conditions.
• Maintain accurate operating logs, maintenance records, inspection reports, and corrective action documentation.
• Participate in process improvement initiatives that enhance safety, reliability, and operational efficiency.
• Maintain accurate operational, maintenance, and inspection records in accordance with company and client requirements.

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED is required; advanced degree preferred.
• Over 3 years of experience in process control, monitoring, or a similar role within an industrial setting.
• Strong understanding of process control principles, instrumentation, and automation technologies.
• Ability to read and interpret piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs), equipment manuals, and technical documentation.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.

Additional Information

• Willingness to travel to client jobsites throughout the United States and internationally.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a TWIC card and valid passport.
• Must maintain a current driver's license and pass client-required drug and alcohol and background screenings.
