Overview

The MOV Valve Technician is responsible for maintaining a safe work environment, performing control valve repairs, and ensuring compliance with quality systems while directly communicating with customers. The role requires autonomy in the valve repair process and adherence to safety standards.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain a safe, secure and healthy environment by adhering to safety standards and practices.
  • Perform control valve repair in accordance with quality procedures.
  • Directly communicate with customers.
  • Work autonomously in the valve repair process.
  • Ensure all diagnostic, testing, and repair reports comply with the quality system.

Requirements

  • Preferred education: high school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience.
  • Control Valve Manufacturers Training Courses and/or certifications preferred.
  • Knowledge of HART Communicator or other diagnostic analyzer manufacturer required.
  • 0 to 30% minimum travel requirement.

Additional Information

  • Position is based out of a branch or site location.
  • Field duties require indoor and outdoor work in a plant atmosphere.
  • Interaction with other crew employees, supervisors, and client personnel.
  • Working in plant and/or shop areas around production machinery with extreme noise levels.
  • Must be able to wear safety equipment as required for personal protection.
  • May be at more than one job site in a day and must tolerate climate changes.
  • May be required to travel out of town on a periodic basis.
