Overview

The Industrial Radiographic Tech-Trainee position involves performing x-ray film evaluation and interpretation of manufactured products, ensuring compliance with standards. The role requires the ability to identify imperfections in castings and to learn and apply various procedures and techniques.

Responsibilities

  • Accurately scan in and out on jobs and report processed quantities.
  • Wear proper safety equipment and maintain a clean and safe work area.
  • Understand customer requirements and internal challenges related to scrap and rework.
  • Review and inspect all materials used, incorporating self-inspection into processes.
  • Complete, date, and sign off on all routing information.
  • Perform job tasks efficiently according to established standards.
  • Learn CM procedures M13 & SP400, traveler process, and scanning.
  • Learn procedures and specifications for x-raying and evaluating castings.
  • X-ray castings using approved techniques and obtain Level 1 / 2 approval.
  • Organize and document x-ray results for interpretation.
  • Perform and verify calibrations and learn rework techniques.
  • Serialize parts according to CM procedures and log book instructions.
  • Clean film processor, cassettes, and work area as per maintenance procedures.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong time management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to multitask and work efficiently.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • No prior experience required as training will be provided.

Additional Information

  • Work schedule is a 4:00 AM shift.
