Overview

The Engineering Technician II position involves performing field and laboratory testing, observation, and inspection of construction materials. The role requires effective communication with various stakeholders and adherence to safety standards while maintaining quality on all projects.

Responsibilities

  • Perform field and laboratory testing, observation, and inspection of construction materials.
  • Communicate with project manager, engineering technicians, and client representatives regarding project requirements.
  • Transport material samples to the laboratory for further testing and analysis.
  • Tabulate, prepare, and submit data and observations in written and digital reports.
  • Maintain and clean equipment, vehicles, and work areas.
  • Assist with scheduling and dispatch of technicians to project sites.
  • Follow safety rules and practices and report safety issues to management.
  • Maintain quality standards on all projects.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum 1-2 years of relevant experience or equivalent training.
  • Experience with laptop computer use and Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Valid driver’s license with acceptable violation history.
