Overview

The Assembly Technician position involves performing assembly duties to produce finished optical equipment for military, law enforcement, and hunting communities. The role requires following standard work instructions and maintaining a safe working environment.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare work by following standard work instructions and gathering parts, subassemblies, tools, and materials.
  • Position parts in specified relationship to each other using general knowledge of the product.
  • Glue, screw, clip, or otherwise fasten parts together using a variety of small hand tools.
  • Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
  • Maintain all equipment and tools in good working condition by performing daily pre-shift inspections.
  • Strive to meet all established safety, quality, cost, and productivity standards.
  • Continually seek to improve production methods, equipment performance, and overall quality of the product.
  • Learn a variety of different assembly stations.
  • Perform other ad hoc duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Ability to sustain a high level of physical activity related to repetitive motion, lifting, and manual dexterity of equipment and products weighing up to 10 lbs.
  • Ability to follow and understand written and verbal instructions requiring multiple actions based on product descriptions, quantities, and sizes.
  • Good oral communication skills.
  • Ability to sit for long periods of time.
  • Ability to perform repetitive work while maintaining production time and quality.
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • 1+ years manufacturing experience preferred.
  • Electronics and/or soldering capabilities are a plus.
  • Must undergo and meet company standards for background check, employment verification, and reference checks.

Additional Information

  • Requires the physical and mental capacity to perform effectively all essential functions.
  • Must be able to arrive at shift daily and on time.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally.
  • Must be a U.S. Person as defined by the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).
