Overview

The Welder position involves assisting in the timely production of welded parts while ensuring quality standards are met. The role requires performing various welding operations and maintaining a safe and clean work environment.

Responsibilities

  • Perform MIG, hand and robotic welding operations to produce product at the required production and quality level as instructed.
  • Perform inspection on product utilizing total quality concepts.
  • Perform preventive maintenance on equipment as needed.
  • Accurately report daily activities on work orders and Kan Ban cards and other media as required.
  • Conduct required quality checks using basic measurement equipment.
  • Keep work areas clean and free of safety hazards.
  • Exercise safe working habits while operating machines, including proper use of personal protective equipment.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Production Supervisor/Area Leader.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED required.
  • Prior welding experience required.
  • Ability to pass 2G MIG welding certification test.
  • Must pass drug and alcohol screen and remain drug free throughout the term of employment.
  • Must follow all safety practices and policies.
  • Able to read and understand blueprints and geometric tolerances.
