Overview

Harmar is a leading manufacturer of mobility and accessibility products, including wheelchair lifts and stair lifts. They are looking for an experienced and certified MIG Welder to join their team, contributing to the production of high-quality products that enhance mobility for individuals.

Responsibilities

  • Use TIG/MIG welders and welding according to supplied blueprints.
  • Build products that meet quality inspection standards and tolerances.
  • Document defective materials as trained by the quality team.
  • Report inventory issues to purchasing, production supervisor, and/or inventory analyst.
  • Be responsible for area safety goals.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Minimum two (2) years welding experience.
  • Must be certified in MIG welding.

What you'll be running

This posting calls for MIG and TIG work. MIG (GMAW) feeds a continuous wire electrode through a shielding-gas nozzle. It lays down metal fast and is forgiving on clean material, which is why it dominates production and light fabrication work. TIG (GTAW) uses a non-consumable tungsten electrode with filler added by hand, giving the operator the most control of any process. It is slow, demanding, and the standard for stainless, aluminum, and anything where the bead has to look as good as it holds.
