Overview

Mercury Systems is seeking aspiring solderers to assist in production operations on PCBs and PCBAs. Successful candidates will need to demonstrate soldering skills and will work primarily on the first shift.

Responsibilities

  • Use soldering irons to attach electronic components with SMT and Thru hole technologies.
  • Interpret job routers, written instructions, wiring diagrams, and schematic drawings for assembly of electronics.
  • Perform a variety of inspections to ensure assemblies meet/exceed IPC standards.
  • Perform pass downs with outgoing/incoming shifts.
  • Modify, solder, rework, and repair assemblies and subassemblies according to specifications, drawings, and work instructions.
  • Complete other duties as assigned by Lead or Supervisor.

Requirements

  • Must pass an onsite soldering assessment to J-STD-001 standards during the interview.
  • Must have meticulous hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
  • Typically requires 3+ years of electronics assembly and inspection experience with in-process soldering (both through hole and surface mount).
  • Must be able to work for extended hours utilizing a microscope to perform inspection and solder touch-ups.
  • Hand Soldering Experience Is Required.
  • Knowledge of ESD (Electrostatic discharge) procedures.
  • High School Diploma or GED.

Additional Information

  • This is a 1st shift opportunity with daily hours from 5:00am to 2:30pm.
  • Overtime is available and encouraged.
