At TJX Companies, you'll be part of a vibrant team that embraces diversity and fosters collaboration. The Maintenance Technician role involves advanced troubleshooting and maintenance of various equipment to ensure efficient operations within the Distribution Center.

Responsibilities

  • Work in compliance with all TJX best practices, safety rules, and regulations.
  • Perform preventative maintenance and advanced repair of all building and material handling equipment.
  • Operate and understand control systems and multiple computer programs.
  • Complete all required paperwork and maintain a clean work environment.
  • Monitor control systems to ensure maximum uptime.
  • Recommend and implement improvements to equipment and operations.
  • Train and guide other maintenance associates in preventative maintenance and safety procedures.
  • Assist with projects and work with vendors as assigned.
  • Communicate effectively and timely.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Vocational training in a related technical field or equivalent.
  • Advanced understanding of tools, electrical, hydraulic, and other systems.
  • Proven proficiency in electrical/electronics, welding/fabrication, HVAC/refrigeration, plumbing, mechanical and electrical drive systems.
  • Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 75 lbs.
  • Three to six years of experience in the maintenance field.
  • Preventative maintenance experience in material handling systems.
