Overview

Caterpillar Inc. is seeking an Overhaul Machinist III to join their global team focused on creating sustainable communities. The role involves machining parts to engineering specifications and supporting various departments within the facility.

Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate any machine tool to perform operations within its capacity.
  • Perform complete and independent setup of various machine tools.
  • Make machine adjustments for efficient machining operations.
  • Use precision measuring instruments to check work for conformance to specifications.
  • Pre-set and/or sharpen cutting tools as required.
  • Recognize improper machine functions and take corrective action.
  • Replenish coolant, change accessible filters, and lubricate own machine tool.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma, GED or equivalent.
  • 3+ years experience in the operation of manual machine tools.
  • 2 years experience with CNC milling machines.

Additional Information

  • This is a 2nd shift position.
  • This position requires working onsite five days a week.

  • Any offer of employment is conditioned upon the successful completion of a drug screen.
