Overview

hth companies is an industrial services provider that offers mechanical insulation, scaffolding, industrial cleaning, and various other services across the Midwest. The Pipefitter will configure, install, fit, and maintain piping systems, ensuring their smooth operation while promoting a culture of merit-based rewards and employee development.

Responsibilities

  • Plans, prepares, installs, and maintains piping and plumbing systems composed of various materials.
  • Consults blueprints, work orders, schematics, or instructions to create working procedures based on specifications.
  • Gathers equipment and materials for the job.
  • Welds, cuts, bends, threads, solders, and fits pipes.
  • Attaches pipes and piping systems to walls using brackets or clamps and cuts or bores holes prior to the project.
  • Installs various types of pipe covering and safely removes old coverings according to hazardous waste procedures.
  • Inspects pipes, testing for pressure and leaks, and reports or resolves problems.
  • Coordinates with management to schedule machinery maintenance, repairs, and installations.
  • Complies with applicable safety and building codes, regulations, and best practices.
  • Maintains records, including safety logs and inspection details.
  • Assists with jobsite safety to comply with OSHA regulations and the company's Safety Program.
  • Actively champions a positive workplace and safety culture.
  • Performs various other duties and functions as required or assigned.

Requirements

  • Basic math skills.
  • Ability to use a variety of tools, including blowtorches, saws, pipe benders, and welding torches.
  • Ability to read schematics and blueprints.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Working understanding of safety principles, practices, and procedures.
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
