Job Description

Overview

Jacobs is seeking an experienced Construction Site Manager to provide on-site leadership for the mechanical and process trades that support construction of large-scale thermal power generation facilities. This role is central to ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality installation of major mechanical and process systems.

Responsibilities

  • Lead daily field execution for all mechanical and process trades.
  • Oversee installation of major equipment such as gas turbines and steam turbines.
  • Manage subcontractors performing ASME code piping and other systems.
  • Ensure compliance with project specifications and industry codes.
  • Conduct field inspections to verify weld quality and mechanical completion.
  • Coordinate closely with engineering teams to resolve RFIs and technical challenges.
  • Maintain strict adherence to safety protocols.
  • Track progress, identify constraints, and provide accurate reporting.
  • Support commissioning and startup activities.
  • Build strong working relationships with subcontractors and client representatives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent field experience.
  • 7+ years of experience overseeing mechanical, piping, or process system construction.
  • Strong working knowledge of thermal power plant mechanical systems.
  • Ability to interpret mechanical drawings, P&IDs, and equipment specifications.
  • Demonstrated experience managing multiple mechanical subcontractors.
  • Strong understanding of mechanical safety practices and applicable codes.
