Overview

The New Engineer-in-Training Rotational Program at TC Energy is a 3-year program designed for new graduate engineers to gain broad exposure to various facets of the US Natural Gas Business Unit. Participants will develop technical competencies and soft skills through structured rotations across different teams while building relationships with experienced mentors.

Responsibilities

• Assume responsibility for engineering work associated with natural gas facilities, pipeline, or interconnect projects.
• Schedule internal and ESP resources to support assigned projects.
• Manage project specific engineering contracts including periodic interface and oversight of hired Engineering Service Providers (ESPs).
• Schedule design reviews and ensure proper stakeholder engagement during the design process.
• Identify equipment design requirements and review equipment layouts and installation.
• Trigger material procurement process for all items to be purchased by the Company.
• Review project requisitions against company standards and specifications as applicable to project scope.
• Provide technical support throughout construction activities, including site visits and timely RFI responses.
• Coordinate efforts tied to project close out from an engineering perspective.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from an accredited university program.
• Previous internship, co-op, field, project, operations, integrity, pipeline, facility, or energy industry experience is preferred.
• Interest in developing a career in energy infrastructure, engineering practice, project execution, asset integrity, reliability, or operations support.
• Demonstrated curiosity, initiative, accountability, adaptability, and commitment to active learning.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
• Interest in gaining broad technical and business experience across multiple engineering functions.

Additional Information

• Candidates must commit to the rotational nature of the program and be able to travel to the field for site visits or relocate for term assignments based on business needs.
• Relocation assistance may be provided in accordance with company policy where relocation is required.
