Overview

Sundt is seeking a Pipelayer with at least 2 years of experience in underground ductile iron pipe and water services. The role involves assisting the foreman with leading a crew in the installation of underground piping, ensuring work is completed safely and efficiently.

Responsibilities

  • Assist skilled craft workers in performing their assigned duties.
  • Work in other crafts at levels appropriate to training and skills as requested by project supervision.
  • Take direction from a higher skilled worker or foreman.
  • Utilize effective math skills to add, subtract, multiply, and divide.
  • Eliminate waste such as waiting, rework, transporting, material storage, and time.
  • Ask a supervisor about any work or safety practice uncertainties before continuing.
  • Learn and understand all safety hazards related to the work.
  • Safely and effectively use or operate work-related tools and equipment.
  • Seek opportunities for improvement in all tasks and methods.
  • Maintain positive working relationships with all crew members.
  • Produce high-quality work safely and productively.
  • Provide feedback to ensure all materials, tools, equipment, and information are available for the work.

Requirements

  • NCCER Core Curriculum and/or a High School diploma or equivalent is preferred.
  • One year experience (level I), two years' experience (level II), and three plus years' experience in the industrial/commercial construction industry is preferred.
  • Possess effective verbal and written communication skills.

Additional Information

  • Pay rate is $30 - $32/hr, DOE.
  • Working 40+ hours a week with the potential for overtime.
  • No per diem is being offered.
  • Ability to wear personal protective equipment is required.
  • Must comply with all safety standards and procedures.
  • Work up to a 12-hour shift in varying temperatures and outside conditions.
