Overview

We are currently seeking skilled and dedicated Steel Fitters and Structural Steel Welder/Fitters to join our team in York, PA. These positions play a vital role in fabricating, fitting, assembling, and welding structural steel components while ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and quality of our projects.

Responsibilities

  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine layout, fitting, fabrication, and welding requirements.
  • Perform structural steel fitting, layout, assembly, and welding tasks according to project specifications and industry standards.
  • Measure, position, align, and fit structural steel components prior to welding.
  • Perform Flux Core welding as required and ensure welds meet quality and project specifications.
  • Set up and safely operate a track torch.
  • Operate and maintain welding and fabrication equipment and tools safely and efficiently.
  • Ensure accuracy and quality throughout all fitting, fabrication, and welding processes.
  • Inspect completed work to ensure it meets specifications and quality standards.
  • Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet project deadlines and objectives.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
  • Follow all company safety protocols and applicable safety regulations.

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years of structural steel fabrication experience required.
  • Proven experience as a Structural Steel Fitter, Welder/Fitter, Structural Welder, or similar role.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, shop drawings, and technical drawings.
  • Experience with structural steel layout, fitting, and assembly.
  • Strong knowledge of welding techniques, equipment, and materials.
  • Ability to set up and use a track torch.
  • Ability to perform Flux Core welding and pass a pre-employment welding test.
  • AWS or other welding certification preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work with precision.
  • Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
  • Commitment to safety practices and procedures.
