Overview

TRC, a member of WSP, is a global consulting environmental and engineering firm recognized for its innovative solutions in the energy sector. The Structural Engineer III will perform various engineering tasks related to substation projects, requiring independence and strong interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct and review structural engineering calculations and design drawings.
  • Coordinate resourcing needs to meet client deadlines.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Prepare proposals and estimates for various projects.
  • Assist with project management including budgets, schedules, and client relations.
  • Serve as Engineer of Record for projects.
  • Perform other duties as required.

Requirements

  • Minimum of Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or similar/related field.
  • Minimum 5 years structural engineering experience in the utility industry.
  • Registered as a Professional Engineer, preferred.
  • Experience leading small to medium sized Civil/Structural engineering design teams.
  • Excellent oral/written communication skills and ability to work well in teams.
  • Ability to apply analytical or scientific thinking to define and solve problems.
  • Proficient with Risa3D, Risa Foundation, Mathcad, Mat3D, SAP2000, STAAD, AutoCAD, LPile, Microsoft Office, Excel.
  • Experience and detailed knowledge of applicable codes and standards.
  • Ability to make independent decisions.
  • Strong attention to details.
  • Ability to plan, organize and coordinate.
  • Ability to identify and develop solutions to complex problems.
