Overview

The Welder position in the Container Shop involves fabricating and repairing compactors, containers, and carts under general supervision. The role requires applying appropriate welding techniques and performing maintenance inspections on electrical and hydraulic systems.

Responsibilities

  • Applies appropriate welds to fabricate or repair compactors, containers, and carts.
  • Performs minor repairs and applies basic welding processes.
  • Repairs compactors, containers, and carts.
  • Conducts preventive maintenance inspections.
  • Diagnoses and repairs electrical and hydraulic systems on compactors.
