The Welder Team Lead will oversee departmental operations, ensuring efficient line operations and quality control while supporting Supervisors and other Leads.

Responsibilities

  • Communicate effectively with Supervisors, Team Leads, and others regarding safety, quality, workload capacity, staffing, and production issues.
  • Solve ongoing problems and encourage the use of Cx Tools and methods.
  • Assist in coordinating quality control activities and implementing work standards.
  • Follow standard work and train other employees.
  • Coach new technicians to improve their skills.
  • Work with the team to eliminate, prevent, and resolve quality issues.
  • Drive the 5S program and Carrier Excellence culture.
  • Ensure deployment and sustainment of Cx fundamentals on site.
  • Monitor work order progress and ensure quality and timeliness.
  • Make informed decisions quickly and demonstrate initiative.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of weld and brazing operations experience.
  • 3+ years of service with Carrier.
  • 1+ years of experience using Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel).
  • Must be 6G certificated.
  • Proficiency in joint joining techniques such as TIG, MIG, or Stick.
  • Expertise in joining metals using filler metals heated above 840°F without melting base metals.
  • Good communication skills relative to supervisor and other related departments.
  • Exceptional customer service skills and teamwork.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

What you'll be running
