Overview

At CF&I Steel, L.P., we are seeking a Welder to join our Maintenance team in Pueblo, Colorado. The role involves providing support in welding and fabrication while ensuring safety and efficiency in all tasks.

Responsibilities

• Read prints, plan work, procedures and techniques.
• Obtain and move materials, tools, and equipment.
• Operate all equipment needed to complete the job.
• Direct others in conditioning and preparation.
• Observe lockout procedures.
• Perform routine maintenance and assist Maintenance personnel.
• Obtain and maintain OSHA 10 and equipment certifications as required.
• Complete additional tasks as assigned.

Requirements

• Associate Degree in welding or completion of a welding apprenticeship.
• Minimum 1 year experience in fabrication and welding; structural experience and certification preferred.
• Valid Colorado driver's license.
• Competent in manipulating numbers, quantities, shapes, and spaces; able to take precise measurements and calculate necessary dimensions.
• Self-starter with the ability to work with minimal supervision and manage multiple tasks.
• Excellent interpersonal communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with all levels of personnel.
• Physical ability to perform various movements and exert forces up to 100 pounds.
